The Alumni Module, a part of the UMS, provides graduate students with the opportunity to maintain and access their academic community network in a user-friendly, interactive and intuitive manner. The sub-component is a web-based application and is accessible through a browser from any point where there is an Internet connection. Due to its functional configuration, Alumni allows users to fill inn, modify and update their personal information, academic record, history of occupied positions, part of the data being taken over from the UMS.
In addition, Alumni allows sorting the alumni list depending on a set of predefined criteria, searching for alumni, sending public messages which all UMS users can read, regardless of their belonging to this community. Within the sub-module “Administration”, the user with administration rights can access and approve public messages sent by Alumni or can send notifications to graduates or other persons who graduated from a certain faculty but do not find themselves in the UMS. The sub-component includes the sub-module “Reports” which can be accessed by the administrator.
The UMS solution is the schooling component integrated in the Academis platform. The software solution allows the efficient management of all university-related activities, processes and flows.
The Teaching Materials Module was also integrated in the Magnon component which is especially designed for process management. The main function of this new sub-component is managing course materials. By using this module, teachers can publish didactic documents which can be accessed from any Internet spot. In order to have access to these documents, one needs to log in with personal data confirming the fact that he/she is a student at that certain faculty.
This module meets the needs of undergraduate, Master, as well as PhD students, who can access information corresponding to their level of study. The functional configuration of this sub-component allows students to visualize and search for content, while it adds for teachers the possibility to modify, check for permissions, hide, delete and others. All these functions are created in a user-friendly and logical manner.
The Magnon solution supervises the accurate performance of the processes involving relevant documents in the university and proposes a centralized documents strategy in view of reducing costs and enhancing productivity.
Academis addresses current challenges by offering an integrated platform which ensures complete and efficient management of the resources of higher education institutions by automation and optimization of all specific processes.
